Is NATO an aggressive military alliance of the Unipolar Rules-based World Order masquerading as a defensive alliance?
Bombing of Yugoslavia and Libya are the most prominent examples of NATO, though aggression against the Russian Federation through NATO expansion eastward and the militarization of Ukrainian neo-Nazis as battering ram against Russia has become prominent.
NATO once served a purpose as a counter to the Warsaw Pact of the Soviet Union. Now with the disintegration of the Soviet Union, NATO has become a military arm of the US global hegemony.
The Russian Federation is targeted because of its independence and military and economic strength, just as China is targeted for the same reasons.
As we have mentioned the foreign policy of Western neoliberals/neocons is zero sum. That is why the Western global hegemony is in the process of failing.
Ironically, Stoltenberg of NATO characterizes the aggression against the Russian Federation as democracy against authoritarianism when the basis for NATO and the Unipolar Rules-based World Order is totalitarianism via zero sum.
The notions of freedom, democracy, human rights, sovereignty, free markets, fair competition are mere cover for the totalitarianism.
In regard to the Ukraine Proxy War, how far will NATO and Western neocons/neoliberals take this war?
Russian has withstood the sanctions and information war. Russian battleground success has been followed by NATO escalation, which causes Russia to escalate further such as the bombing of Kerch Bridge led to Russia bombing the Ukrainian electrical grid and railways. The latest is heavy Western weapons in the form of battle tanks and longer range missiles (150 km). And there is talk of F-16 fighter jets. Russia announced it will escalate further in response:
“Unbelievable, but true – we are once again threatened with German Leopard tanks, with crosses on their hull. And once again seeking to battle Russia in Ukraine with the help of Hitler’s followers, the Banderites,” Putin said.
“Those seeking to defeat Russia on the battlefield apparently do not realize that a modern war with Russia would be entirely different for them. We’re not sending our tanks to their borders. Yet we have something to respond with, and it would not be limited to armor use only, everyone must realize that,” he added.
Will the Western neocons/neoliberals risk nuclear war to preserve their Unipolar global hegemony?
For Russia, Ukraine and its belligerence are existential due to Ukraine bordering Russia. Therefore, Russia will not back down.
NATO and its deep state neoliberals/neocons project that the Ukraine Proxy War is existential for NATO and the West, but the fact remains that the War is far more existential for Russia, considering the close proximity to Russia and NATO’s agenda is Russian regime change and the fragmentation of Russia into different parts.
Therefore, we assume NATO will back down leading eventually to its demise as a military alliance. Division is already ripe in the over expanded alliance as shown by Turkey, Croatia, and Hungary.
